Etown Blessing Baskets

Every November · Elizabethtown, PA

What it is: Thanksgiving baskets for Elizabethtown families and individuals going through a tough stretch. Our 2026 goal is 200 baskets, and 55 are already committed. Every basket sponsored puts a full Thanksgiving table within reach for a local family.

What to do: There are three ways to help: sponsor a basket, drop off a finished basket, or volunteer.

Know someone who could use a basket? Nominate a neighbor, friend, or family member by November 11. A first name and how many are in the household is all Larry needs, and it stays confidential.

How to do it:

Pick how you want to help:
- Sponsor a basket: fill one, two, or 10 from start to finish for a neighbor. Complete baskets only, please; we can’t store loose food.
- Drop off a finished basket: already filled one on your own? Bring it to St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Monday, November 16, from 4 to 7 pm.
- Volunteer: help us pack and hand out baskets on pickup day, Tuesday, November 17.
Use the basket list. What goes in each basket:
- A $15 to $20 gift card to Giant or Weis, so families can pick up a turkey or ham
- Thanksgiving staples: canned corn, green beans, cranberries, boxed stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy packets, cream of mushroom soup, muffin or biscuit mix, and a non-perishable dessert
- Household items: pet food, laundry detergent, socks, small toys, and toiletries
Get it to us: drop off finished baskets on Monday, November 16, from 4 to 7 pm at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 904 Mill Rd, Elizabethtown. Questions? Call or text Larry at 717.875.0598.

Etown Souper Bowl Drive

The weeks leading up to Super Bowl Sunday

What it is: A canned-goods drive with a little friendly competition. Our four Coldwell Banker Realty offices (Hershey, Lancaster, Camp Hill, and Lebanon) go head to head to see who can collect the most. Everything goes to a local food pantry.

What to do: Donate canned and non-perishable food and help your favorite office take home the trophy.

How to do it:

Gather your items: canned soup, vegetables, fruit, pasta, rice, peanut butter, cereal, and other non-perishables. Please check the dates.
Drop off at any of the four offices: Hershey (555 E Chocolate Ave), Lancaster, Camp Hill, or Lebanon.
Watch the scoreboard: the final tally is announced Super Bowl week.

Etown Neighbor in Need Yard Makeover

Every spring

What it is: Volunteers team up for one day to give a deserving senior neighbor a fresh, cleaned-up yard. It is exterior work only and completely free to the homeowner.

What to do: Nominate a neighbor, volunteer for the day, or donate supplies.

How to do it:

Nominate: send Larry the name and address of a senior neighbor who could use a hand, and a sentence or two about why.
Volunteer: no experience needed. If you can rake, weed, or carry a bag of mulch, you are on the roster.
Donate: mulch, plants, yard bags, tools, or lunch for the crew.
Event day: date details coming soon.

Etown School Supply Drive

Every August

What it is: We collect new school supplies so local kids walk in on the first day ready to learn.

What to do: Donate new supplies, or sponsor a filled backpack.

How to do it:

Shop the list: backpacks, notebooks, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, glue sticks, folders, and scissors.
Drop it off: locations and deadline details coming soon.
